A Typical Day At Summer Camp

Farm Discovery Camp
June 1-4

Our Camp day starts with staff, horse, and camper introductions. Then we have a short horse safety talk that includes a how to safely walk around the horses demo. Campers are assigned a horse for the week.

We groom and tack the horses as a group.
​

Riding/Craft stations. We will split into 2 groups. One group will ride while the other group does a craft and/or unmounted lesson.

Groups will work together to untack and care for the horses.
​

Feed horses lunch and we eat lunch​​

Afternoons will be filled with farm fun, including daily check-ins of the goats, chicks, and bunnies. Thursday afternoon will be our End Of Camp Week Show.

Monday : Chicken Day
Campers spend the afternoon getting to know the chickens and learning about their unique personalities and behaviors. Activities include exploring the parts of a chicken, participating in a hands-on egg dissection to learn about egg anatomy, and taking on a fun Egg Drop Challenge that encourages problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork while connecting learning to real farm experiences.

Tuesday : Bunny & Garden Day
Campers will learn about the bunnies and their care while enjoying hands-on time with them. The group will visit the garden to harvest vegetables and herbs to create bunny enrichment toys, helping campers understand how plants support animal well-being. Campers will also take part in a “Can I Eat a Whole Plant?” snack lab, exploring which parts of common plants are edible. The afternoon includes planting marigolds to take home as a reminder of their time at the farm.

Wednesday : Goat Day
Campers spend the afternoon learning about goats through hands-on activities and animal care. They will take part in milking a goat and learn where milk comes from and how it’s used. Campers will also create forage enrichment boxes to encourage natural goat behaviors and problem-solving. The afternoon includes working with goats on an obstacle course, building teamwork, confidence, and handling skills through guided, interactive challenges.
Thursday : Horse Day & End Of Camp Show
Campers will spend the morning diving deeper into horse care and management through fun, interactive activities. They’ll explore aspects of horse health, behavior, and nutrition while practicing hands-on skills that go beyond basic grooming. Activities are designed to be engaging and age-appropriate, giving campers a chance to connect with their horse, build confidence, and gain a deeper understanding of what it takes to care for these amazing animals.

The final afternoon of camp is a celebration of all the campers have accomplished! Friends and family are invited to attend our End Of Camp Show, where campers will showcase the riding skills they've learned throughout the week. Families will also have the opportunity to tour the barn and meet all the farm animals. We'll also display an art gallery featuring the campers' creative projects, along with ribbons and certificates they've earned. For those unable to attend in person, the event will be streamed live on Facebook so everyone can join in the fun and celebrate the campers' achievements!

Goat Camp
June 8-11, June 15-18

Monday : Goat Intros, Goat Yoga, and Goat Selections​
Campers will start the week by getting to know the goats and learning about their unique personalities. They'll enjoy a fun and relaxing goat yoga session, followed by an exciting activity where each camper and their partner will choose a goat to care for and work with throughout the week.
​
Tuesday : Milking and Leash Training
Campers will learn how to milk a goat, practicing this traditional farm skill in a hands-on session. They'll also begin leash training their chosen goat, building trust and teaching the goats to walk alongside them confidently.
​
Wednesday : Goat Digestion Lab & Goat Obstacle Training
The afternoon includes a hands-on Goat Digestion Lab, where they’ll learn how goats eat, digest their food, and stay healthy through an age-appropriate, instructor-guided activity. After the lab, it’s time to get creative as campers work with their goats to practice guiding and handling skills while learning how to navigate an obstacle course. This day builds understanding, confidence, and teamwork between campers and their goats as they prepare for the week’s activities.
The Goat Obstacle Course Challenge will be held on Thursday morning. (The Goat Obstacle Course Challenge is a camper only event.)
Thursday : End Of Camp Horse and Goat Show
The final afternoon of camp is a celebration of all the campers have accomplished! Horse Camp
